I'm sooooo happy they are back and in a lager space. From the customer service to the food my husband and I love it. It's the absolute closest we've ever gotten to some back home (ALABAMA) bbq. Since moving to Tampa this has been and will continue to be my #1 recommended bbq place for Tampa even after we move.
Their meat is always tender with the sauciest sauce
Due to the collards and cabbage being sold out (great sign) we weren't able to try it but don't fret because there's always tomorrow. There sauce is a bit different however still good.
So this customer service has been the absolute best since moving to Tampa and it's truly a breath of fresh air.
On this visit I got the corn,green beans and chicken and my husband got the macaroni and cheese, green beans, chicken and the sausage.

I like this place. It's unpretentious, and the let's the meat speak. And the meat is delicious. The staff is friendly, the smoker is right outside, and the brisket and sausage is pretty darn good.
My rule of thumb... never go to a BBQ joint without seeing something smoking somewhere on the premise. check! -

If you have never been here, the "Everything Platter" is exactly what you need (serving size: 2-3 people) for only $25. You get to try every meat option on the menu and the portion sizes are very generous--don't think of it as a sampler platter, really think of it as you are getting a full serving of each meat!
Now that I have tried everything the restaurant makes, I must say that the ribs, sausage, and pork meat options were my favorite by far. All three of those were so good; I can't choose a favorite from them!
The staff was friendly and welcoming. They offered us to sample any of the menu items before our purchase, which was definitely a nice gesture that did not go unnoticed.
This was my first time here and I can say that I will be back MANY more times in the future. Thanks, BJ's!
Bonus note: Their BBQ sauce is on the sweeter side. If you don't like it that way, mixing it with hot sauce (provided on their tables) does a great job of cutting the sweetness and adding some spice. -

Terrible- 3 dried up ribs with little meat, corn bread is a super small corn muffin dry as a bone & looked store bought, and Cole slaw was not fresh. Threw out the whole dinner. Saw the big pit smoking out front so had high hopes for good BBQ- forget this place. Overpriced for the lack of quality food & sides. Also they were out of collards and cabbage at 4:30pm on a Saturday.
